President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr President, friends,

Welcome to Russia and Sochi.

We agreed to hold this meeting long ago, but this is our first personal meeting since the elections in Turkiye. I have already had the pleasure of congratulating you on the election results, and I would like to do so again during our personal meeting, although several months have already passed.

We continue to maintain the momentum in promoting relations between Russia and Turkiye, facilitated by your direct involvement. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that last year our trade increased by over 80 percent – by 86 percent, I think. This positive trend spilled over into the first half of this year, even if it has not been as massive as last year. But there is still positive momentum.

On September 1 the School under the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Karachi organized the events on the occasion of the beginning of a 2023-2024 academic year.
A flag-raising ceremony was followed by a children's concert.
The Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov congratulated the pupils on their first day of school after summer holidays.

Vladimir Putin took part, via videoconference, in the BRICS Plus/Outreach format meeting.

Today we celebrate our National Flag Day.

Our state banners, like our country, have a thousand-year history. Old Russian armies raised flags with the image of Christ Not Made by Hand over their regiments. In the 19th century, the black, yellow and white flag of the Russian Empire was flown on the country’s official buildings. In the 20th century, our country lived with the red flag for over 70 years, and it was under this flag that the Great Patriotic War was won.

All of Russia’s historical flags and symbols warrant respect from its citizens, public activists, and representatives of the authorities because they reflect the continuity of the development of our nation and statehood.

But we certainly have special feelings for the white, blue and red flag; it is our official national flag, which was instituted as such by Peter the Great.

The tricolour was hoisted over our country again on August 22, 1991. We have overcome many hardships and ordeals with this flag flying overhead, but in essence we have restored the sovereignty of our country.

Russia is a one thousand year old country and civilization. Our national flag is a symbol of our unity. I believe that the national flag will always inspire us to move forward, to victory, and to assert the glory of Russia.

I welcome you to the Army 2023 International Military Technical Forum.

Over the past years, the forum has rightfully earned high prestige and broad recognition. The event has become one of the world's largest venues for showcasing innovations and modern military products, has made a significant contribution to the development of military technical cooperation, and overall, to the expansion of Russia's multifaceted ties with foreign countries.

This time, the forum’s participants and guests – representatives of delegations from various countries – will benefit from its extensive and eventful programme.

On August 14 the Russian Consulate team led by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov took part in the traditional Shooting Competition organized by the Special Security Unit of Karachi Police on the occasion of Pakistan Independence Day.
Russian team to home the second place both in team and personal categories!

On the occasion of Pakistan Independence Day special addresses by the Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Andrey Fedorov were published in many respected news outlets such as Pakistan Observer, The News Lark and Daily Qaum ki Awaz!

Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Arif Alvi on the country’s national holiday, Independence Day.

The message reads, in part:

“Our two countries share friendly relations and have been generating positive momentum in our bilateral political dialogue and promoting fruitful cooperation in various spheres. Moscow and Islamabad have been proactive in working together on the counterterrorism agenda and Afghanistan policy, as well as in addressing other urgent international issues.

I am certain that by working together we will succeed in further expanding the multifaceted ties between Russia and Pakistan for the benefit of our nations and for stronger regional stability and security.”

Vladimir Putin took part in the plenary session of the second Russia–Africa Summit.
