Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Muhammed Shia Al Sudani took part in the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week international forum.

On October 6 the School under the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Karachi organized a concert on the occasion of the Teacher's Day.

I am glad to welcome you all in Sochi at the anniversary meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club. The moderator has already mentioned that this is the 20th annual meeting.

Vladimir Putin extended his condolences to President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar on the terrorist attack in Balochistan province.

The message reads, in part:

“Killing people during a religious ceremony is further evidence of the barbaric and inhuman nature of terrorism. Those behind this crime should not escape retribution.

I would like to reaffirm Russia’s commitment to further build up antiterrorist cooperation with its Pakistani partners.”

The President of Russia asked to pass on his words of sincere sympathy to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to all the wounded.

Many previous speakers have expressed the idea that our shared planet is experiencing irreversible change. Right in front of our eyes, there is a new world order being born. Our future is being shaped by a struggle, one between the Global Majority in favour of a fairer distribution of global benefits and civilisational diversity, and the few who wield neocolonial methods of subjugation to maintain their elusive dominance.

Rejections of the principle of equality and a total inability to reach agreement has long been the signature of the collective West. Being accustomed to looking down on the rest of the world, Americans and Europeans often make promises, take on commitments, including written and legally binding ones, and then they just do not fulfil them. As President Vladimir Putin pointed out, it is the West that is truly an empire of lies.

On September 21, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

The conversation focused on the current bilateral and international agenda, including Ukraine and Afghanistan. The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to building up bilateral trade and economic cooperation and interaction on regional and international issues.

Vladimir Putin and Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un held talks at the Vostochny Space Launch Centre.

On September 12 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov visited the University of Karachi. He took part as a chief guest in the seminar "Pakistan-Russia Relations. An emerging partnership", organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Consul General touched upon the main historical milestones of the Russia-Pakistan relations, talked about the most recent achievements and provided his vision of the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Mr. Andrey Fedorov also answered multiple questions from the students.
With the help of Russian Culture and Science Center in Karachi, the historical exhibition was also organized at Karachi University campus, which displayed the greatest milestones of Russia-Pakistan relations.

On September 8 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov paid a courtesy call on the Mayor of Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab.

On September 5 the Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Andrey Fedorov paid a courtesy call on a newly appointed Secretary Investment Department, Government of Sindh, Mr. Tameezuddin Khero.
During this meeting many spheres of potential economic collaboration between Russia and Pakistan were discussed.
