On November 3 an official reception was organized at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Karachi on the occasion of the People's Unity Day.
Governor of Sindh Mr. Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister of Sindh Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar, Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Mr. Agha Siraj Durrani, Home Minister of Sindh Brigadier (R) Haris Nawaz, members of the consular corps and local business community, as well as other dignitaries, took part in the event.
Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Andrey Fedorov touched upon the historical background of this holiday, and told the guests about this year's milestone, which is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Russia and Pakistan.
An official part of the ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.
This was followed by a magnificent cultural program. A dance troop from the State Philharmonics of the Republic of Karachayevo-Cherkessiya performed the traditional North-Caucasian dances.

On October 26 a "Young Readers' Contest" was held at the School under the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Karachi.
Young participants read out patriotic poems about Russia on the occasion of the Day of People's Unity.
Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov distributed the prizes among the best performers.

On October 20 and 21, 2023, Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Danila Ganich addressed audiences of the Karachi Council on Foreign Affairs and the Pakistan Council on Foreign Affairs, speaking on the state and prospects of Russian-Pakistani relations. His addresses and a Q&A sessions covered topical bilateral, regional and international issues. The Consul General of Russia in Karachi H.E. Mr. Andrey Fedorov, representatives of the business community and the diplomatic corps accredited in Karachi, as well as prominent Pakistani experts and journalists took part in the events.
