On July 26 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the initiative of the Pakistani side.
The parties had an in-depth exchange of opinions on topical issues regarding regional collaboration and bilateral cooperation, primarily in the areas of trade, the economy and counter-terrorism.

On July 27–28, St Petersburg will host the second Russia-Africa Summit and Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum. On the eve of these large-scale representative events which will bring together heads of state and government, entrepreneurs, academia and public figures, I would like to share my vision of the development of Russia-Africa relations with the readers of the leading media on the African continent, outlining priority cooperation areas for the coming decades of the 21st century.

On July 12 the Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand Mr. Narut Soontarodom paid a courtesy call on the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov.

On July 8 the diplomats and employees of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Karachi participated in a futsal competition organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Independence of Indonesia.

The meeting is taking place under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev are also taking part in the meeting.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh were invited to take part in the meeting as heads of the SCO observer states. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was invited as a guest of the presiding party.

Heads of the SCO permanent bodies and heads of delegations from certain invited international organisations and associations are also attending the summit.

Following the meeting, the leaders signed the New Delhi Declaration and adopted a package of documents. In particular, the SCO Heads of State Council approved the SCO Economic Development Strategy to 2030; made the decisions on completing the procedure for admitting the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and granting it the status of an SCO member state; signed the Memorandum of Obligations of the Republic of Belarus in order to obtain the status of an SCO member state; and on announced the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, as the SCO Cultural and Tourism Capital in 2023–2024.

In addition, the SCO Heads of State Council approved the Concept of Cooperation between the SCO Member States to decarbonise transport and promote digital transformation and innovative technologies to achieve greater efficiency and sustainability.

The SCO Heads of State Council also adopted decisions on the Regulation on the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure and on the signing of a Memorandum between the SCO Secretariat and the United Nations Environment Programme.

The SCO Heads of State Council adopted statements on countering radicalisation leading to terrorism, separatism and extremism, and on cooperation in digital transformation.

During his visit to Juma Mosque in Dagestan on June 28 (Eid-ul-Azha), Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted that Russia respects Holy Quran and the sentiments of Muslim community, and reminded that the desecration of Holy Quran in Russia is a crime, unlike in some other countries. He, then, strongly condemned the burning of Holy Quran in Sweden.

A new "documentary" cycle by the British BBC under the flashy title “Putin vs the West” is an extremely telltale example of media manipulation. Vividly and fully, it reveals the tools and the methods used by Western (British, as its epitome) propaganda, weaponised in the fight for the minds and hearts of the people on our planet. Based on a seemingly evidence-based and plausible sequence of events and accompanied by high-quality videos and quotes from Western “authorities,” they proceed to create a distorted semantic series which is literally turned upside down.
