Taking into consideration the declaration of a Public Holiday on February 8 with regard to the General Elections, the visa section of the Consulate General will be closed tomorrow.

On January 29 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov met with Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem HI(M).

On January 27 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov took part as a Chief Guest in the Medal Distribution Ceremony at the Karachi Boat Club Regatta Indoor Rowing Competition.

On January 25 on the occasion of the Students' Day in Russia the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov addressed as a chief guest at the IQRA University in Karachi on the topic of "History of Russia-Pakistani Friendship".
Mr. Andrey Fedorov delivered a speech and answered multiple questions from the student audience.
A historical photo exhibition was also organized on this occasion.

On January 11-13 the members of the Consulate General staff conducted a sightseeing trip to Islamabad, Taxila and Rohtas Fort.

On December 20 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov expressed his condolences with regard to the demise of the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jabber Al Sabah.

The President arrived at the National Defence Control Centre of the Russian Federation to attend an expanded meeting of the Defence Ministry Board.

Vladimir Putin summed up the year’s results and answered questions from journalists and the people of Russia in a live broadcast.

In 2023, the direct line with the people of Russia and the annual news conference have been merged into a single event taking place in Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor.
