On March 26 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov took part as a chief guest at the opening ceremony of the first Russian language class at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology. Technical equipment and furniture were provided by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Karachi.
Among other chief guests were the Chairman Edhi Foundation Faisal Edhi and Member of Sindh Provincial Assembly from Pakistan People's Party Muhammad Asif Khan.

On March 25 Minister of Local Government, Public Health Engineering & Rural Development Department of Sindh, President of the Pakistan People's Party Karachi and Former Senator Mr. Saeed Ghani has expressed his condolences in connection to the brutal terrorist attack in Moscow Region.

On March 24 Honourable Governor of Sindh Mr. Kamran Tessori expressed His condolences and condemnation over the horrible terrorist act in Moscow Region.

On March 17 from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM (PST) Russian Presidential Elections were held at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Karachi.
On this occasion many representatives of the local media visited the polling station to cover the election process and to take an interview from the Consul General of Russia in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov who was the chairman of the Local Election Commission №8251.

Tomorrow, March 15, the polling stations will open across our vast country, and the three-day voting in the presidential election will begin.

This is the eighth time a presidential election will be held in Russia, which shows the inviolability of the principle of holding regular elections which is one of the basic principles of a democratic state. The outcome will directly affect the development of the country in the coming years.

This is an important high-stakes event and, as the incumbent head of state, I believe it is necessary to address you today.

Dmitry Kiselev: Mr President, when delivering your Address [to the Federal Assembly], you were figuratively pulling trillion by trillion out of your sleeve. As a matter of fact, you proposed an absolutely astonishing plan of the country’s development, truly astonishing. That will be a different Russia, with a completely new infrastructure and social system – nothing short of a dreamland.

But it makes me feel like asking you your favourite question quoting Vladimir Vysotsky, ”Where is the money, Zina?“ Have we earned it or not?

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Yes, of course we did.

What is more, this plan is, first of all, the result of painstaking work by the expert community, experts from the Government and Administration. Everything fits in the budgetary rules and is actually rather conservative given that certain experts believe that the revenues should and will be higher. And, therefore, we should have planned larger expenditures because this should directly impact economic development prospects.

Overall, this is the right thing to do. Back in 2018, we also planned to allocate additional eight trillion rubles to economic and social development, but later on we increased this figure. I believe that it is quite possible, if things work out the way the optimists from the above-mentioned expert community say they will, that we will be able to – we should and we will do that – increase our expenditures in a number of areas.

On March 11 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov visited Command and Staff College in Quetta.
He delivered a lecture on the topic "Pakistan-Russia Relations: a Comprehensive Perspective and Way Forward" in front of the audience of Pakistani and foreign student officers and answered their multiple questions after his address.
Mr. Andrey Fedorov also met with the Commandant of Command and Staff College Major General Naseem Anwer and discussed with him the opportunities for potential collaboration.

On March 6 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov addressed the students at National University of Modern Languages in Karachi.

On March 4 the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov took part as a Chief Guest in the International Seminar "Pakistan-Russia Relations - a Way Forward" at INDUS University.
